Nissan has decided to back out of the DeltaWing program, just as it scored a 5th place finish at Petit Le Mans. Dr. Don Panoz and co. will replace the 1.6L Nissan engine with a 1.9L unit from Mazda, producing 345HP and 350 lb-ft of torque. The new Mazda DeltaWing is expected to debut at the 12 Hours of Sebring this March, after which there are plans to make a DeltaWing coupe for Laguna Seca. For me, i hope the DeltaWing continues to have success.
