News for January 18th, 2013

Mclaren Changes the MP4-12C GT3 for 2013-

The MP4-12C GT3 is available for $500,000 US dollars to race teams and normal people alike.
The GT3 had a successful first season, logging 19 wins and 19 podiums in the 98 races it participated in.  13 Mclaren GT teams took part.  In 2012, the GT3 was only available to European based teams, but in 2013 it will be available world-wide.
The 2013 model has an updated aerodynamic pack concerning the front splitter, rear wing, and diffusers.  It also included an new Mclaren Electronics ECU, updated cooling system.  The GT3 has a 3.8L twin-turbo producing over 500HP, transferred to the wheels via a 6-speed sequential transmission.  I think this car is just incredible, road going and in GT3 version.  I can't wait to see its successor.  The 2013 MP4-12C GT3 is eligible for every FIA GT3 series.  World rally champion Sebastien Loeb will drive two GT3s.

Earlier, MotorTrend had spotted a Ghost-based coupe testing, and now that car has been named the Wraith.  The Wraith is set to appear at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.  The Wraith name was first used in 1928.  I personally cannot wait for the new Rolls to come out, as i would love to see the brand expand and succeed.
It is said to produce up to 600(!) HP coming from a 12 cylinder turbo.
